Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ClientPik, a sole proprietorship ("ClientPik", "we", "us"), collects and uses your personal data when you visit clientpik.com, purchase or use the Clientpik plugin and companion web gallery, or contact us.

Payments and billing for the Clientpik subscription are processed by our reseller of record, Paddle. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and independently controls the personal data it collects to process your transaction. See Paddle's Privacy Notice for details.

1. Data we collect

We collect account and identity data, consisting of your name, email address, and, if you sign in with a third-party identity provider, the profile information that provider passes to us. We collect transaction and subscription data, consisting of order references, plan, subscription status, licence keys issued, and billing metadata forwarded to us by Paddle; we do not receive or store full card numbers. We collect project data required to run the Clientpik plugin and its client-facing gallery, consisting of gallery IDs, JPEG previews you publish from Lightroom Classic, filenames and metadata of those previews, and the selections your clients make. RAW files are never uploaded and remain on your computer. We collect support data, consisting of the contents of any messages you send us and any attachments. We also collect technical data, consisting of your IP address, device and browser type, referrer, pages viewed, and events required to operate the site and service securely.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to deliver the Clientpik subscription, licence keys, and plugin access; to synchronise client selections back to your Lightroom Classic catalog; to provide customer support and respond to your enquiries; to operate, secure, and improve the site and the service, including detecting fraud and abuse; to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations; and to send transactional and service messages such as order confirmations, renewals, and security notices.

3. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or an equivalent law applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you, for delivering the subscription and support; legitimate interests, for site security, analytics, and fraud prevention; legal obligation, for tax and accounting purposes; and consent, where required, for example for non-essential cookies or marketing emails.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with Paddle, as reseller of record, for payment processing, invoicing, tax, and fraud checks; our authentication, database, and real-time messaging providers strictly necessary to run the plugin's background connection and client galleries; hosting, email, analytics, and error-reporting providers strictly necessary to operate the site and service; and law enforcement, regulators, or other third parties where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Our service providers may process your data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to comply with our legal obligations (in particular, tax and accounting records may need to be retained for several years). Client gallery previews and selections are retained for the lifetime of the associated project and are deleted when you or your client remove the gallery, or a reasonable time after your subscription ends. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact support@clientpik.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary to run the site and, where permitted, to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Security

We use industry standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and hardened infrastructure. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by the "Last updated" date above and, where required, by direct notice.
